La presidencia de la Nación a través de la Secretaría de Cultura presenta la seria de esculturas en madera Moebius.
Las esculturas que Carlos Montani nos presenta en esta oportunidad nos transportan a lo más profundo de nuestra intimidad cuando reflexionamos acerca de lo justo y lo injusto, lo correcto y lo incorrecto, lo aparente y lo real, lo Apolíneo y lo Dionisíaco…
Si uno pudiera desprenderse de los lazos terrenales y saliera a caminar por encima de una cinta de Moebius descubriría que dependiendo en que parte del trayecto se encontrara podría estar tanto de un lado como del opuesto de la cinta sin haber traspuesto en ningún momento el borde de la misma. ¿Cuántas veces nos hemos sorprendido desdiciéndonos? O quizás solamente habríamos avanzado una vuelta ¿quién podría asegurarlo?
También sería sorprendido al encontrar las propias huellas e instantes más tarde no poder discernir si ellas lo siguen a uno o uno a ellas.
Estas particularidades que muestra la cinta de Moebius fueron la inspiración para la topografía de las obras.
La madera utilizada como principal material de estas obras es un encuentro del artista con la calidez, la suavidad, y porque no los caprichos del ser humano que lo retrotraen a su infancia cuando aprendió el oficio junto a su abuelo y su padre.

The Presidency of the Nation, through its secretary of culture, presents the series of wood sculptures, Moebius.
The sculptures that Carlos Montani presents us on this opportunity transports us to our deepest intimacy when we ponder upon fair and unfair, right or wrong, apparent and real, Apollonean and Dionysian.
If one could free oneself from earthly ties and walk on a Moebius strip, one would discover that, depending on which part of the journey one is on, one could be on one side or on the exact opposite of the strip without having trepassed its limit. How many times have we found ourselves contradicting our words? Or maybe we could have only walked one round ahead, who knows?
You could also be surprised to find your own footprints in your way and, seconds later, find yourself unable to realize if they follow you, or you are following them.
These characteristics of the Moebius strip were the inspiration for the shape of the sculptures.
The wood used as the main material on these sculptures is the encounter of the artist with the warmness, smoothness and, why not, whims of human beings that take him back to his childhood when he leant the crafts wiht his father and grandfather.
Each of us will feel these sculptures from different dimensions but they will surely not go unnoticed.
